Stabilising
About Stabilising
As part of our ongoing road maintenance program, your road may be identified as requiring a new surface due to various defects and safety concerns. This work will involve removing the existing surface and stabilising a new road surface.
What is Stabilising?
Stabilisation work is where we add cement to the existing road to strengthen the pavement and keep the road functional.
What should I expect during the work?
Our roadworks include heavy machinery which unfortunately can create noise, vibration, and cement dust.
Please bear with us during our operations and ensure your cars are parked clear of the road.
If you do encounter cement on your vehicle, please wash it off by the end of the day.
How can I keep myself and my belongings safe during this time?
There will be no parking on the road during the course of the works. “No parking” cones will be put out the night before for each section.
Following the initial works, please do not park over the patches while we complete the works.
Please maintain the temporary speed limit – loose stone chips are to be expected on the road for a few days.
Driving too fast will flick loose stone chips from the road and/or may damage the new seal.
Children are attracted to resurfacing work. For their own safety please ensure they stand well back from the work sites.
