What’s happening in the Mount?

Tauranga City Council has contracted Fulton Hogan Ltd to carry out repairs and maintenance in Mount Maunganui.

This work is part of the Council’s annual programme, improving road safety and investing in our roading assets, including footpaths.

Our work is very weather dependant so dates may change due to the weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Our roadworks include heavy machinery which unfortunately can create noise, vibration and types of environmental factors (including cement dust for example).

Eversham Road Watercutting

Status: ACTIVE

Date of Works: MONDAY 14TH, APRIL 2025

Type of Works: WATER CUTTING

Water Cutting is a specialised process of removing excess bitumen to restore the road to its original surface friction.

 

These works include using ultra high-pressure jets, a high capacity UHP pump, and a high-powered vacuum system which unfortunately can create noise. So please bear with us during our operations.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

The highlighted sections of road will be under Stop/Go while works is undertaken. Limited access will be made for Residents/ Businesses, but we ask that you allow for additional time to ensure our Traffic Management Team can guide you safely through the site.

HULL ROAD Asphalt Surfacing

Status: ACTIVE

Date of Works: TUESDAY 29TH APRIL 2025

Type of Works: ASPHALTING

Please note that these works must be undertaken at night due to the traffic volumes during the day and being unable to maintain traffic access during these works. These dates are subject to change, and we advise that you check the website below for updates.

As part of the staging for these works, you will experience a temporary road surface with level changes. Please drive carefully through the site.

Girven Road Asphalt Surfacing

Date of Works: SUNDAY 6TH (Rain delay), MONDAY 7TH TO WEDNESDAY 9TH APRIL 2025
